Burton-on-Trent Natural History and Archaeological Society society stopped meeting in 2007 and was wound up in 2010. It had been in existence since 1876, producing annual reports of its proceedings into the last century, these continuing sporadically (apparently) until an as yet undetermined date. The separate transactions were published from 1889, when they commence, and from 1896, these volumes included the annual reports.
Part of the series has been made available on the internet by the Biodiversity Heritage Library (aka Internet Archive); the printed volumes for this were provided by the Natural History Museum Library, London. SCS has sympathetically re-cast the production as individual volumes, rather than in the composite form originally presented, removing also blank pages.
SCS will further research the history of Burton-on-Trent Natural History and Archaeological Society and add additional volumes of the transactions and/or reports as they are recovered.

Annual reports are included in the Transactions from 1895 (Volume III, part II) onwards; this volume contains the reports for 1893 - 1894 and for 1894 to 1895. Thereafter outstanding reports were published in later volumes of the transactions as considerations dictated.
